Graduation

This weekend marked the culmination of my graduate education. Upon completion of my practicum hours (240) as an MFT Trainee, I will have my Master of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy. I have a 9 month commitment at my practicum site which brings me to the end of the year (2009) at which point I will start looking for a full-time paid internship and start chipping away at my licensure hours (3,000!!!)...

Walking in with my classmates:

There were probably about 500 graduates, so it was pretty much over in the blink of an eye, here's my 5 seconds of fame:
I couldn't have done it without Matt!!
The Hoekstra family (Travis, Meredith, me, Matt, Judy & Tim)
All I can say is that the Lord has blessed me immensely on this journey! In an email I wrote to my mom this morning I said, I'm not quite sure how I got from 16 to 26 so fast?!! Yesterday she wrote: "I will pray that just like it has been for you guys since the day you were engaged- it will stay true now as well, that you will both continue to say- Lord- what do you want us to do, and where do you want us to be? Who can argue with that?! And then I'll pray as well that God leads you both very clearly!" That is my prayer!
