Last week I went home to Sioux Center, IA where the Doornenbal family reunited for the first time in several years! I have not seen the majority of this side of my family for more than 5 years. It was neat to get together again because I think the general consensus was that it felt like we do this every weekend.

All of the Doornenbal cousins who could make it -- we're a good looking bunch! I think we were missing Matt, Brent, Kendra & Trevor, Lisa & Wes, Josh & Andrea, and Heather & Jeremy and their boys.

As sort of a tradition, my grandpa & grandma would always stand at the end of their driveway and wave us off until the last possible moment we could see them. This year as each family was leaving all of us stood on the porch to literally do the wave as everyone left so "the wave" became a new tradition. Sadly, by the time I left Kelsey was the only one left so she waved me off all by herself! :)
