I'm totally and completely addicted to dessert.
I love being in my kitchen, especially when I'm making something sweet. I love reading cooking/baking blogs. I love finding awesome, new dessert recipes online. I especially love getting creative with the ingredients I have in the house, and can often be found searching the world wide web at length to find a recipe that will allow to make something delicious without going to the store. And I love, love, love plopping down on the couch after a long day with a cup of decaf or hot tea (because for some reason, to me, desserts are meant to be eaten with a hot beverage) and indulging in a plate of sweet, delectable goodness.
You see, I've tried the whole not eating after 7 p.m. diet and I'm gonna tell you it probably lasted all of about two days. Confession time. Sit down for this. I probably make dessert about five out of seven nights a week. I really just can't help myself.
My waste-line says hello! :) C'est la vie!
On to the good part... I'm a recipe follower through and through, but when I see a good one, I know it. I invite you to take part in this weeks online find!

Gooey Butter Cake from Tasty Kitchen
A few things about this recipe, should you choose to make it, and you should in the foreseeable future:
-I used salted butter because I didn't have unsalted and it turned out just fine.
-16 oz. of powdered sugar = 4 cups (I cut the recipe in half and put it in a square pan so I used 2 cups)
-Why do eggs need to be room temperature? I never wait or have the forethought to take them out of the fridge. Seems to work for me.
-They were better the next day when they'd cooled off.
-I would classify, and maybe rename them as Gooey Butter Bars.
Go.
Bake.
Enjoy.
