What???? My daughter?!?!?
Despite numerous reminders from my seasoned mom-coworkers that she is normal, I don't want this to be her "thing." (Now in addition to sharing her Grandpa John's birthday and hair color, they share this trait! Love you Dad!!!)
Yet even in this, she had a redeeming moment, she's always going and doing that.
Me: "Emma, were you naughty at Ms. Alice's house today?"
Em: "No, I a big girl."
Me: "Did you have to go to time out today?"
Em: "Yah, I eat Kacie."
Me: (trying desperately not to crack a smile) "You are not allowed to bite, that is not nice."
This morning on the way to daycare:
Em: "I be nice today. I not eat people."
Me: "No, you may not bite, that is very naughty."
Em: "No, I be big girl."
Aaaand, let's hope that's all she wrote!

So cute and oh so normal. Mason has recently decided it is okay to bite as long as he doesn't use his teeth so it ends up being more like sucking....but the intent is the same. Make me want to laugh and yet...I need to discipline because as Em said you can't eat people.
