On Saturday Jeannette & I indulged in a little bit of pampering. We went shopping for a little while and then had sushi for lunch at the Chino Hills Shoppes. Later in the afternoon, we randomly decided to go get mani-pedi's. It was so great!!
Also on a HUGE whim, I went slightly crazy and walked into Fantastic Sam's for a haircut on Saturday (yes...I was that desperate and I recently found out that the girl who cuts my hair no longer works at Sport Clips) So my stylist was Jose. Now, in my head I was thinking, oh my goodness, what in the world do guys know about thick, finicky hair?!?!?!? To them..."I want it to be easy to do in the morning," means "slap on a little water and gel on it." I was thinking, this is going to be a disaster, but I proceeded to follow Jose instead of bolting for the door, and he assured me ... "I give you good hair cut today!" :) Well, Jose and I are now friends!!!! All I need is a round brush and the discipline to get my haircut every 6 weeks (this might be a problem)...and this may be a style that I'll hold on to for a while. I have very thick hair and he used this razor scissors that worked wonders instead of cutting layers!!

But I digress...
Back to our fun weekend with friends!! On Saturday night we got together for some good food (tacos!) and great fellowship. After church on Sunday we headed down to Huntington State Beach for a bon fire! We usually find ourselves wondering why we don't do this more often. After the wind died down it was the perfect evening. Mmmm...s'mores!
