Like having a big yard that we enjoy working in.
Being able to plant a garden.
Chatting with the neighbors over the fence (and having really great neighbors on both sides).
The pull-out spice rack in my kitchen :)
A second bathroom for when we have guests.
Lots of fruit trees.
Quiet evenings.
However, last night wasn't one of our more joyful homeownership moments.....
After Matthew climbed off of the roof at 4:00 in the morning (by stepping onto a cooler that was balanced onto our trash bin...um, yah) he looked at me and said, "Oh the joys of being a homeowner." So true. So true. It's windy and as you can see much of the rolled roofing on our patio and back room blew off last night. We're praying for no rain before we can fix it this weekend!
Thus begins the filing of our first homeowner's insurance claim. And neither the first, nor the last of many home repair projects!
