life lately

I haven't felt like blogging lately. Not sure why...but here's a quick update to what we've been up to.....

-July was busy with vacation & family and now it's August 2. I went back to work yesterday. It was a lot harder than I expected to leave Emma again after a month off with my girl. Looking forward to 4-day weekends!!

-While I was putting away the groceries the other day I turned around and Emma had climbed up onto the fireplace....you can baby-proof all you want but seriously, is anything around here safe anymore?

-Matt has a couple weeks off of football and it's been so great to have him home at 4:00 every day!

-Our new favorite thing to do is go to the drive-in movie theater...2 movies for $7/person! Viewed from the comfort of your vehicle with the snacks & beverages of your choosing. The great thing is we can take Emma along because they start late enough that she sleeps in her car seat the whole time. We enjoyed Harry Potter but didn't end up staying for the second movie (Horrible Bosses) because it was truly horrible.

-I feel like Emma's starting to ween herself off the bottle already, she's just drinking less and less formula but the girl still doesn't have any teeth so we still have to be careful about what we feed her. She'll be 11 months old tomorrow!! Not sure how I feel about having to start thinking about a birthday party......

Only 1 Month til Emma's ONE!!!
