first impressions

I've had quite a few thoughts swirling around in my head about a sweet, sappy Mother's Day post...but instead, I'm gonna blog about something totally mindless right now.

Yep....The Bachelorette....right here, right now.

Here's the deal. I'm not sure I'm really a fan of a mom being the Bachelorette. Has she watched any of the previous twenty-something seasons?!? Does she want to teach her daughter that it's OK to date and kiss multiple men at the same time?! But Emily seems sweet. And yet again I know the jokes on me, but there's a part of me that really wants her to find true love.

So as for my first impressions....

I'm a fan of Doug the Dad who received the First Impression Rose! But I think he's coming on a little strong with the "dad card."

My second-fav is Arie. Seems normal, sensitive, and sweet.

Most surprised that I kind of like Jef. Other than kind of dressing like a kid and riding up on a skateboard...he seems like a real gentleman. But I can't help but come back to...do real gentlemen go on this show???!

Nate is hands-down the best-looking. We'll see how the rest of the package unfolds.

NOT a fan of Stevie (can't believe she gave him a rose!!), Grandma-Guy or This Egg is you and Ricky-Guy. Thought Kalon's grand entrance in a helecopter was lame, but I thought the guys were a little hard on him. What little one-on-one time they showed, he actually didn't seem like that big of a jerk.

**Oh yah! I forgot to mention Charlie (Thanks Darin!) I like him too...and I agree, he seems genuine. I thought the - this half of my face is titanium, do you want to touch it? - thing was funny.
