Lunar Eclipse tonight!

Get out your telescope if you have one!! There's going to be a total lunar eclipse tonight at 6:01 p.m. Pacific Time...it'll last for about 51 minutes. AND, for probably the only time in the next millenium, the eclipse will form a total triangle with the planet Saturn and the bright bluish star Regulus. Saturn will be 3.5 degrees above and to the left of the moon's center and the star will be 2.8 degrees above and to the right. I've always kind of been intrigued by this kind of thing...stayed up all night once to watch a meteor shower...too bad I'll be in class tonight!!

I am blown away by your knowledge! Wow, who knew? Thanks for letting us know...we'll take the kids out and look! Glad you think your midterm went well...enjoy the next one! I think psychology is fascinating and would consider going into it if I could do it all over. Good luck! Nice chit chattin with you through comments!

We had a great view of the eclipse out of our window here and it was a beautifully clear night in Calgary. Kinda neat that almost all over the world people were watching the same thing. Did you get out of class in time to catch any of it?
