Funny Story

Looking back at the wedding pictures I posted below (particularly the one of me walking down the isle with Wade) reminded me of a funny story about the first time I went to a wedding with Matt, this was before we were married, and believe it or not it was the first wedding he had ever been to!! I think maybe those of you who know him could appreciate this story (just don't tell him I posted it on my blog...don't think he reads this thing). He flew out for the wedding of a college friend of ours from Nebraska. We got to the church and were about to get seated, so I of course took the arm of the usher and started walking down with him...my poor husband (boyfriend at the time I think). He later told me he was kind of standing there like, OK, where's she going with that guy. Good thing he followed! Poor thing! Then when the ceremony was over and everyone kind of stood up...and you know how they usually usher everyone out the middle towards the receiving line. Well, he was sitting on the outside so he just takes off down the outside isle...kinda like church, not knowing any better. So, like a good wife, I followed and later explained the particulars to him.

I guess maybe the moral of the story is that this is just one of the many reasons they need us ladies! (Of course, I won't even start on all the reasons we need them...yes, I admit, it's true...)

I am glad you had a good time in Washington! We would love to play games tomorrow night. We can chat about it tomorrow at church!
