Weekend Update

There's not a whole lot to update on...

Matt is counting down the days until the end of his internship...2 more weeks, it's the traffic/commute more than anything that he's ready to be done with. I spent a good chunk of the weekend working on a take-home midterm exam that is roughly done at this point and due midnight on Tuesday.

The temps are on the rise in southern CA. It saddens me that we were already tempted to turn on the air already in April (although we did hold out). The reality is we're pretty Dutch when it comes to turning on the air...so I'm not ready for the heat to hit! On the other hand, it snowed in Iowa for my sister's prom on Friday so...I'll definitely pass on that.

Friday night we spent the evening at Huntington state beach with Matt's parents. The sounds of the ocean were relaxing, and we had a good time over a bon fire and s'mores. Saturday we hung out with some friends, and the women totally dominated the men in a rough, rule-changing game of Canasta! And Sunday was church and Bible study.
