Reading, Reading, More Reading...

This picture pretty accurately depicts how I feel this term...OK it may be a slight exageration (I guess you could say it sort of runs in the family...sorry mom it's true!) :) I pretty much spent the entire weekend reading.....and my Karen Kingsbury days are over. This weekend featured Egan's, The Skilled Helper and Kessler's Treating Couples. Although excellent reading, they're still textbooks. 9 weeks...2 classes...5 textbooks...Yikes! The first week is always overwhelming, but I know it'll be fine once I get over this hump and just do the work. As Matt's mom put it, it's like they want to put the fear of the Lord in you so you buckle down right away. Matt is trying to help me understand the concept of continued education, in that I don't have to do ALL of the "learning" so to speak in this crunched time period...and it's a continual process...so I'm trying to embrace that idea as well. Despite the fact that I like to be prepared for the lectures by having done the reading, the reality is that it's not going to happen this term..."Deal with it Robyn!"

Hope you have a great week!

Robyn-
It was good to see you at church too. I am sorry we didn't get to talk very long. The Spykstra's moved from Zeeland, MI so I had Sarah Spykstra (Tim's daughter) in my class. I really wanted to catch up for a minute with her so I grabbed her after the service. Sorry I didn't get to say hi to you though! Hope all is well.
