My Plate is Full

This morning I was talking to my mom, and I was telling her about how busy the next two weeks are going to be for us (ok, really I was focusing on ME). How I'm overwhelmed with all I have to get done for school before the madness begins, etc, etc... I just realized that my focus for this entire week has been the busyness rather than the blessings. And the next two weeks represent so many blessings!

Next week Thursday, May 15, Matthew will graduate from Western University of Health Sciences with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Matt applied to three PT schools, and come about mid-April of our senior year he had be rejected by 2 of them I think , and wait-listed at Western. We were starting to question, OK God, now what? Matt and I lived in the same apartment bldg. at NWC and I'll never forget when he walked in my room...I was sitting on the couch, and he didn't say a word he just held out a little note. It was from his mom and dad, they had sent him flowers and the note said, "Congratulations on your acceptance to Western University!" I just jumped into his arms! Thank you God for blessing us that day! And for your faithfulness and providence in our lives over the last three years!!

After one last class party with his class on Friday, we're driving straight to LAX and fly out at midnight, to go home to my family in Iowa to celebrate Dani's high school graduation. Wow, what is happenning to my little sisters here?? I'm so proud of her...she has such a sweet spirit that inspires me. I can't wait to be with my family again, meet my little nephew, and enjoy each and every single minute of our time together.

We get back into LA late on Wednesday night. On Thursday we're going to Wicked with some good friends of ours. (This was my birthday present!!) I'm so excited!! On Saturday we're having a little graduation party for Matt at our place, Oh, and then I have finals the following Tuesday & Wednesday!

It's probably going to be a crazy roller coaster, I have two pretty big papers to write somewhere in there and I know myself well enough to know that I'm going to be seriously wiped out, but...my plate is so full, in a good way!!!
