We had a really great Christmas! After so much anticipation, it always seems to go in the blink of an eye. We already packed up most of our Christmas decor yesterday and discarded our dead tree. But as I reflect, I'm thankful for the added memories and joy of having a child and watching her experience Christmas.
We celebrated with our little family on Friday night. Opening presents with daddy.
New books! I found these at MOPS this year - Psalms for Kids - they're written by a grandma who felt God calling her to help her grandson understand and know the psalms. I love them!

Best Christmas gift EVER! Mega Blocks (which I have to throw in - I got at Target for $10 on black Friday) Emma LOVES them!
Skype Christmas party with my fam on Christmas Eve morning :) So great to celebrate together from three different states - South Dakota, Iowa & CA!

Playing with her fruits & veggies for grandpa & grandma Hoekstra. We still have to put the shopping cart together!
Such a big helper :)

Pushing her baby - every girl has to have one! I wish I still had my cabbage patch doll, Apple, and could pass her on to Emma but we welcomed Sarah Kimber to our family this weekend :)
Opening stockings Christmas morning. Emma's starting to wonder what her crazy parents are up to. She loved playing with the gardening toys in the dirt yesterday though. (And I love finding cute stocking stuffers at Dollar Tree!)
Watching in confusion as we play with daddy's present - Kinnect for our Xbox 360
On Monday we went up to a cabin in the mountains with Matthew's family. Emma got to experience snow for the first time :)
She really actually loved it!
