memory lane...

Do you ever find yourself strolling down memory lane...lost in old photos full of memories, emotions, love, and joy...and before you know it an hour has passed?! (and you should probably get back to work, *ahem.)

This little girl, my favorite niece in the whole wide world, the first child to totally and completely capture my heart, can't POSSIBLY be turning SIX in a month!!! Don't even mention Kindergarten or I might tear up.

I remember exactly how I felt at this game, and exactly how I felt when Vinatieri kicked the winning field goal (as a Colts fan in a stadium surrounded by Chargers fans), and exactly how I felt when Peyton ran by and pointed at Trav's Tennessee shirt, and exactly how I felt when Dallas ran by and gave me this wrist band. One of my Top 10 memories of all time shared with two of my favorite guys (Matt & Travis...just for the record:)!

Far and away the best day of my life...the day I got ready to take Emma home from the hospital with the love of my life, and the best daddy in the world behind the camera.

This girl right here is turning TWO in 18 days. Wasn't it like yesterday that she was turning 1 and we were taking these pictures in the park?! She is my heart walking around outside my body. I love her more than words can say. The gift of motherhood has exceeded my wildest dreams. I would love nothing more than to have more children, but the other day I found myself thinking - if by the grace of God this is the greatest blessing I ever receive - this little family of 3 that I love so dearly, it is more than enough! I am so unworthy, but yet he's chosen me for this journey.

Emma's favorite things to do lately are watch Tangled (the girl can practically recite the movie...not kidding), color and decorate every surface of my house with stickers, sing Jesus Loves Me, read books in bed with daddy in the morning, and go swimming or ride bike with grandma. She's doing so great with potty training. We're both adjusting to my working full time (4 days/week) again, but trusting God through this transition as well. And looking forward to fall - football season - as daddy's biggest fans!

I was wondering about your work schedule! Sorry to hear you have to go back full time. I hope it's just temporary and that you can get your old schedule back! Yay Emma for potty training so well!
