updates & such

I saw my Dr again yesterday, it had been about 6 weeks (long story....hard to get an appt with my Dr....large health care system....got it all worked out with him). It was so good to hear this sweet baby's heart beat again and I was reassured that the baby and I are growing at a very normal and average rate... I sang in church on Sunday and Matthew had several people mention to him after the service that they thought I look like I'm due next month. Nope! 10 weeks to go!

The baby is moving like a champ and exploring all sorts of new territory in my belly! Now I often feel it stretch the width of my belly, at almost 17" long now, and kick on my sides (mostly the right side). I love it.

I tried to slip on a pair of "regular" pants the other day thinking maybe I could sneak by with a belly band. Definitely couldn't get them past my upper thighs. Hello reality check.

I'm having a baby shower next month! So excited :)

We signed up for LaMaze class, and I'm really looking forward to it. Some friends of ours recommended the instructor. They loved her and said that she spends time in prayer for each couple after class! So neat.

We were quite disappointed with the results of the appraisal. We feel that it came in quite high and maybe wasn't completely fair so that was a little bit of a blow to the gut, but we are moving forward. There are several more hurdles and we may still have some big decisions to make so please continue to pray.

Freshman football started last night, this is Matthew's second year as defensive coordinator. We're excited for another season, and anxious to watch the Lord work in the lives of these young men.

Robyn from one cousin to another...you look great! And as far as those pre-pregnancy pants...your body is undergoing metamorphosis I four months out I still get that nasty reality check when I try to squeeze back into work clothes...I have learned I can still wear the same size just need a different brand!
--We are praying for all three of you as you wait out these last ten weeks.
