I decided to start what I am going to make a Hoekstra family tradition...and I spent New Year's Day morning making Olie Bollen while the boys watched football. Olie Bollen is a great Dutch donut-like treat...fried, of course! I have fond memories of my Grandpa & Grandma Doornenbal making it in the garage one year when they visited. I think they would have been proud! :) Add to that an Iowa victory and it was a great day!
