That's the number of beats per minute Baby Hoekstra's heart was beating yesterday. We could have sworn we saw it sucking its thumb on the ultrasound. So precious!
And to continue with the gender prediction fun....folklore says that a fetal heart rate of less than 140 equals boy?!? (Scientific studies have however, proven this wive's tale to be false!)
As a side note, if you know anyone who is an ultrasound tech, please remind them to be conscientious of their facial expressions! My tech had some of the strangest facial expressions yesterday and it was starting to freak me out. I think in part it was concentration, and frustration with the fact that Baby H was not cooperating. At one point I had to get up and walk/jump around to try and get the baby to move positions. I was extremely conscious of her expressions because the techs really don't say much to you about the ultrasound, and are just trying to get all of the pictures the doctor needs, in this case of the organs, etc. because it was a diagnostic ultrasound. Regardless, it was so wonderful to see our little babe again!
