Man Raises Awareness for 'Good Friday'

I'm pretty proud of my crazy Jesus-loving brother-in-law. I had a great conversation with my grandma the other day about how it takes all kinds of people to expand the kingdom! So often I think we look at those who do it differently than us and think, wow that's crazy...strange...not for me...etc. Sometimes (ok pretty much all the time) I let the "I'll just show them by how I live" thought in my head become an easy excuse for why I'm not more bold about sharing the gospel. I'm humbled by his boldness. I wonder how many people saw him and stopped to think about what was different about that Friday?

All that I know is that there was lots of honking going on. By the time he was 7 blocks down the news was already there because they had so many calls asking them to cover it. He walked 9 miles, had 2 people stop to walk with him and several people stop to pray. He even had a woman bawl her eyes out and run up to him giving him the biggest hug ever. Only a couple people flicked him off and swore at him. He said it definitely made people think, but was probably just as good for him as it was for anyone else. I married a pretty amazing man. I happened to drive up right as the woman ran to him bawling and I was in tears in the back of the car.
