"compliments"

Today was one of those mornings. My arms just didn't have the energy to hold up my blow dryer for seven whole minutes to get that hair done, plus my good straigtener died on me yeseterday.....so naturally I opted for the quick throw in some gel and attempt to "scrunch it" look.

For some reason (maybe I should take a hint) when I do my hair this way it elicits some rather interesting "compliments." About a year ago the guy who works next door to my office saw me walking into work and said, "Wow, nice, looks like you've got the wet cat look going on today." ?!?! Seriously!?!! I don't think I said one word in response. All I can say is he must not be married.

Well this morning one of my students said, "Oh Robyn, I really love your hair today. It kind of looks like a hippie." Why thank you! :) It is also unusually cold for April today, and I was down to my last pair of maternity pants for the week so I just threw on my slipper shoes even though I would typically only wear flip-flops with them because they're on the short side. This same fashion consultant informed me that I had the "casual and lazy" look going on...oh dear... Then again, I couldn't help but laugh, and I needed a laugh.

So wet cat, casual looking, lazy hippie it is today! Have you ever received any memorable "compliments?"
