five months.

Today is May 6. I am exactly 5 months pregnant!
Hokey pete.

Up until this point I've sort of been marking time by weeks, but 5 months sounds like so much more than 23 weeks. Is it just me?! Either way, I've been pregnant for longer than I will still be pregnant. And the view's looking different from up here. If I stand straight up, I can no longer see my toes! Also, this week the baby kicked my bladder for the first time! It made me giggle :)

Side note: When you're asked how far along you are...do you say the week you're currently in (for me this is week 23 so technically I guess I'm 22 1/2 weeks) or the number of the complete week you just finished? Just curious.

I've learned a few things in the last 5 months:

- I would do anything for this baby.
- Metamucil makes me gag.
- I love pilates.
- My husband is going to be the best dad.
- Strange but extremely amazing things only God could have orchestrated start hapenning to your body from the moment you get pregnant to prepare it for childbirth.
- Yoga is no joke.
- One can never eat too much peanut butter.
- You should wear tennis shoes when you register.
- Speaking of which, babies require a lot of stuff and baby stores sort of make you feel like you will be a horrible parent if you don't get at least one of each.
- There is most definitely this thing called being "hormental" (a term I read on someone else's blog...so fitting) i.e. crying for no reason, speaking your thoughts outloud in the middle of an otherwise normal conversation or work meeting, forgetting what an egg is called or who starred in such and such a movie...
- When pregnant, you will very likely get teary eyed every time you witness a birth on a TV show or movie (if you are anything like me...ahem...hormental).

I absolutely can't wait to meet you and name you and hold you and kiss you and feed you in 4 months sweet baby!!!!! Love, your mama

honestly, hormental could be for Dad's too. When Jim and Pam had their baby on the Office, I couldn't help but getting teary eyed.
