I had the most amazing morning. I got to see my sweet little growing baby again. The last time I had an ultrasound (18 weeks), the entire baby fit on the screen, so I sat there mesmerized as my Dr moved around showing my different parts, including the baby's head, kidney, legs, and an ample supply of fluid. Then a perfect little four-chambered heart filled the screen, as clear as day. It was amazing! The little bugger was swimming around with an active heart rate of 150. I'm feeling great, in fact, I might make a T-shirt that says I'm feeling great :) Haha...just kidding. I really love and appreciate it when people ask, it's a pretty natural conversation starter these days! According to my doc I'm measuring normal, the swellings nothing to be worried about and just happening because this babe is growing, and he or she is head down which is great! (He could have made $10 because I was willing to bet it was transverse, goes to show how much I know!) The head is down, the butt and back is along my right side, and all of the extremities are off to my left side. Though I'm still fairly certain the baby rolls from side to side because I get strong kicks on both sides. I'm rambling...and sleepy. Time for a nap! Hokey pete! In 7 weeks I get to meet my baby!!!
