just my thoughts...

We had our first Prepared Childbirth/La Maze class last night. It was exciting.....and a little overwhelming, but mostly exciting. I felt like I did learn a few really important things about the labor process, and it was just like the movies....we got down on our mats and practiced breathing through contractions. (Matthew was a trooper!) The instructor could maybe turn down the peppy knob a notch or two but she's really nice and seems to genuinely care about each of us.

I'm beginning to feel a little overwhelmed with everything going on with the house and the immanent reality that I will be having a baby in a month and a half. (I'm going to go with that because saying 6 weeks FREAKS me out just a tad) I started packing some cupboards and the bathroom this morning, every little bit helps me feel more at ease. I think I'll be in a much better place a week from now when the rest of the house is painted and the carpet and hopefully flooring are in. Then we can start moving. Let me tell you it's hard to nest when you have a condo and a house and you're not really settled where your living and you feel like you're leaps and bounds from being settled where you're moving. I just got an email yesterday that kind of made me panic because it said start packing your bag for the hospital, picking out labor music, etc. and that is like the real deal man. I spent the first half of my pregnancy wanting to fast forward because I just wanted to meet my baby so badly, and now I'm kind of wishing for a slow-mo button. But I'm just doing my best to relax, because I know everything will get done, and we are about to experience one of the most amazing things in the world.

Thinking about that day makes me tear up. So before I get weepy, I'm gonna go have a BLT for lunch. Have a fantastic weekend!
