Yesterday I had a baby shower, and was showered with so many blessings from family and friends. I'm already feeling more prepared for Baby Hoekstra!

My friends Julie and Nicole who threw the shower. Being the last of three close friends to have a shower in the last 5 months, it felt a little surreal that my turn had come already!

We received so many wonderful things including our car seat, diaper bag, baby bjorn, boppy, blankets, bather, bouncer, onesies, diapers....the list goes on. I can't express how thankful I am to the family and friends in our lives. You are such a blessing to me and I know you are going to be a blessing to our baby as well!

My birthday gift from Matthew this year was to fly my mom out this summer during my month off. Little did she know how much she would get put to work on our new house, but she was so glad to be able to be here for my shower as well. She's already been a HUGE help to us, despite the 100 degree weather, and we can't wait to have her here for the rest of the week and are anticipating cooler temperatures as well!

We had such a great day getting ready to welcome Baby Hoekstra into our lives!!
