Meet Baby Hoekstra!

Matt and I are excited to finally share that we're expecting! Baby Hoekstra is due to be joining us sometime around September 6, and we couldn't be more thrilled.

8 weeks - just a teeny little bean!
13 weeks - 2/27/10 - The day I fell head over heals in love with this little baby!! I just layed there Saturday, and it was almost too much to take in. I am absolutely amazed at the miracle growing inside of me. And then I heard the fast whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh of my baby's heart beat and it was all over, I am so in love!
I know this is sort of a creepy alien shot (that's actually what the Dr called it), so I'm sorry if it freaks you out, but I think it is absolutely amazing that you can already see the little brain developing. God is so good! For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you becaue I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Ps 139:13

That's a little hand up by the head (OK....it's not that east to talk in gender-neutral terms :). The Dr was busy pointing out lots of things so quickly and I was just kind of trying to take it all in. I have been feeling great throughout my entire first trimester which is a huge blessing. Just a little queasy and super tired, but no major morning sickness. My first (and only so far) pregnancy cravings were Cheetos and creamed corn...strange, I know! Unconsciously I have also been calling the baby he.........so?!? We decided that we're going to be surprised about the gender. I've already been told that it will give me more motivation to push, which is a plus! :) We would so appreciate your prayers for a healthy pregnancy for myself and the baby!
